The DAAD is a joint organisation of German institutions of higher education. Our aim is to promote academic co-operation world-wide, especially through the exchange of students, scholars, academics, and scientists. For more information on the programs and services of the DAAD in general, please visit www.daad.de
Beside its headquarter in Bonn, the DAAD runs 15 regional offices in selected cities all over the world. The DAAD Jakarta Office opened in 1990, documenting the long tradition of Indonesian-German ties in higher education. Its mission is to nurture that excellent relationship. On the following pages we inform you about the activities and services offered by the DAAD Regional Office Jakarta.
DAAD offers scholarships for graduates, scientists and Higher Education Institutions with the aim of promoting academic exchange.
DAAD offers are broad range of scholarship programmes which allow excellent Indonesian graduates and scientists to finance their Master studies, doctorates, or research stays in Germany. Deadlines for applications vary. Please note that for scholarships for Master study programmes, at least two years of professional experience is required. For individual consultation, please visit the DAAD regional office in Jakarta. Our consulting hours are every Thursday from 13:30 – 16:00 WIB or upon individual appointment. Information for school leavers and potential students interested in studying in Germany is available in Indonesian on our site; we offer a first orientation on admittance requirements to German universities.
“Webinar” is short for web-based seminar. DAAD Indonesia organises regular webinars on scholarship programmes and on study and research-related topics.
A webinar is a live and interactive seminar that will allow you to listen to the presenter, view the online presentation on your computer screen, and ask questions either through voice or instant messaging. All you need is a computer with a stable internet connection. Each year, the DAAD regional office Jakarta organises more than 20 webinars covering a broad range of topics ‚from individual scholarship programmes to portraits of different study programmes and know-how for writing research proposals.
In cooperation with higher education partners from both Indonesia and Germany, DAAD Indonesia conducts a broad programme of information activities.
